Sometimes I forget how pervasive toxic beverages are in our society... but then I take a stroll down the 50 yard beverage aisle at any grocery store or gas station to be reminded of the junk out there!

In this episode we talk about the classes of beverages to definitely stay away from and why. While we don't get too deep into hydration, the obvious byproduct of staying away from these things is drinking more natural fluids (water, juice, tea, etc).

The beverages to avoid are... 

  • Sugar sweetened beverages
  • Artificially sweetened beverages
  • Energy drinks
  • Coffee
  • Alcohol

While we can pretty well grasp why sugary and artificially sweetened beverages are important to avoid for health, we get into some good scientific reasoning when it comes to avoiding those more socially accepted stressors like coffee and alcohol!
